2-8. Install IPADS in High-Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV) Continued

Points
(1) Using 3/4-inch socket, remove tiedown ring and bolt near the center of cargo bed.
(2) Using 3/4-inch combination wrench, remove two tiedown rings and bolts behind driver and
commander's seats.
(3) Store removed cargo tiedown rings and hardware.

Install Floor Plate:
WARNING
IPADS floor plate weighs approximately 48 lbs (21.8 kg); use at least two
persons to lift onto HMMWV cargo bed.
If operator must crawl under vehicle to install flange nut, do not touch the
exhaust pipe. Contact with hot vehicle exhaust pipe can cause severe burns.
