Turn DC INPUT and OUTPUT switches to OFF position and remove external power, AC or DC, from
BCU.
b.
Unlatch BCU cover by releasing latch on each side, figure 2-2. Cover will not be removable due to
securing lanyard and wiring attached to cover.
c.
Loosen, but do not remove, four 6-32 screws using crosstip screwdriver, figure 2-3.
d.
Disconnect each battery pack cable from receptacle by pressing the lock lever on the battery connector.
e.
Remove heater assembly from BCU, figure 2-4.
CAUTION
The BCU heater is permanently attached to the BCU via harness. Care should
be taken when removing or installing heater to avoid damage to harness.
f.
Remove battery packs from cavity, figure 2-4.
