(2) Press ENTER to accept pre-assigned name or press FNC DEL to clear PNT NAME field and enter
the new name.
(3) Verify ellipsoid is correct for coordinates being entered. If ellipsoid is incorrect, scroll to ELLIP field,
press ENTER, and enter new ellipsoid and datum, paragraph 3-11d(5).
(4) Verify datum is correct for coordinates being entered. If datum is incorrect, scroll to DATUM field,
press ENTER, and enter new datum, paragraph 3-11d(5).

For UTM coordinates, perform the following steps:
(1) Scroll to EAST field and enter easting value in meters.
(2) Scroll to NORTH field and enter northing value in meters.
(3) Scroll to ALTITUDE field and enter altitude value in meters.
(4) Scroll to GRID ZONE field and enter positive (+) UTM grid zone value for Northern Hemisphere or
negative (-) UTM grid zone value for Southern Hemisphere.
(5) Optional scroll to DESCRIPTION and enter a description of the point.
(6) Verify entered data. If it is correct, press F2. If not, scroll to incorrect field and enter correct data.

For GEODETIC coordinates, perform the following steps:
(1) Scroll to LAT field and enter latitude value. Press N for Northern Hemisphere, S for Southern.
(2) Scroll to LONG field and enter longitude value. Press E for Eastern Hemisphere, W for Western.
(3) Scroll to ALTITUDE field and enter altitude value.
(4) Optional scroll to DESCRIPTION and enter a description of the point.
(5) Verify entered data. If it is correct, press F2. If not, scroll to incorrect field and enter correct data.
(6) UPDATE: PLUMB BOB: DEGREES or UPDATE: PLUMB BOB: D/M/S page is displayed populated
with parameters for the new point. PRESS Y TO UPDATE POSITION is displayed. If update
coordinates are more than 100 meters from previous shutdown location, > 100 METERS FROM
SHUTDOWN, PRESS Y TO UPDATE POSITION is displayed. Function key line shows F2-NEW,
F3-SEL PT., and F9-EXIT.
