W116-3 Power Cable Installation.
WARNING
To prevent injury to personnel or damage to equipment, remove all jewelry.
Disconnect negative cable before working with or around batteries. Refer
to figure 2-41 for identification.
Protect the negative cable from accidental contact with other battery cables
or posts.
When finished with work, connect negative cable last.
(1) Obtain cable W116-3 and cable ties from SUSV installation kit.
(2) Route the harness loosely with BCU cable connector P1 adjacent to the BCU area and the red and
black leads adjacent to the vehicle battery area. Install the cable in the rear area of the vehicle and
secure loosely with the cable ties. See figure 2-42 for cable routing.
(3) Connect the red lead to the positive (+) battery terminal using a 1/2-inch wrench, figure 2-41.
