(7) Removal of Rear Passenger-side Seat Belt and Tie-Down Ring Assembly.
For further detail on removing seat belts refer to SUSV manual 9-2350-285-20 p. 10-52.
(a) Remove two bolts securing seat belt and tie-down ring nearest to the door using 17-mm
NOTE
Inboard bolts go through the hull and have locking nuts on the inside. These nuts
are located behind the right rear wall and can be accessed once transmission
cover is removed.
(b) Remove two bolts and locknuts securing seat belt and tie-down ring nearest to the transmission
using 17-mm open-end wrench from the SUSV BII kit. Use crescent wrench from SUSV BII to
hold down nuts inside transmission compartment.
(c) Place nuts, bolts, collar, seat belt bracket and seat belt assembly in a plastic bag and mark "For
attaching right rear seat belt assembly."
(8) Removal of Engine Compartment Access Panel.
(a) Open right front door and release clips holding engine access panel. Using a flat-tip screwdriver,
loosen five slotted captive screws and remove engine compartment access panel, figure 2-39.
(b) Place screws in a plastic bag and mark "Front right engine panel retaining screws."
(c) Set engine compartment access panel aside for later installation.
(9) Loosening of Brace.
(a) Using 10-mm open-end wrench and socket from the SUSV BII, remove two bolts securing brace

(c) Place nuts, washer, and bolts in a plastic bag and mark "Brace." Set aside for later use.
