Pushing the motor in against the spring as far as possible, tighten the

front plate mounting bolt so that the belt tension is removed.
f.
Remove the V-belts.
Remove mounting bolts and defective motor.
g.
Remove pulley and key from defective motor and reinstall on new motor.
h.
Install new motor and secure with mounting bolts.
i.
Reinstall the V-belts.
j.
Firmly hold the motor in place and loosen the front mounting plate
k.
bolt. Then allow the spring tension to seat the motor in place.
Tighten spring tension bolt the same number of turns recorded in step d.
l.
Reconnect the backgauge motor wiring.
m.
Reinstall the backgauge motor V-belt cover.
n.
Perform steps g. through r. of paragraph 5-40.37 to reinstall the
o.
backgauge brake.
