(3) When CDU power indicator illuminates steadily, observe that Windows and IPADS software boot up.
(4) When IPADS is turned on, the IPADS MODE screen is displayed with function key, legends
F1-OPERNL, F2-TRAIN, F3-EMULAT, F4-ZUPT. If the IPADS MODE screen does not display
when IPADS is turned on, refer to paragraph 4-6, Operator Troubleshooting.
(5) The user must determine which mode IPADS will be operated. The operator may choose from the
following:
(a) For tactical operations press F1 - "PRESS F1 FOR OPERATIONAL MODE"
(b) For training using the CPNU press F2 "PRESS F2 FOR TRAINING MODE USING CPNU"
(c) For training NOT using the CPNU press F3 "PRESS F3 FOR TRAINING MODE USING
EMULATOR (NO CPNU)"
