Mode
Current IPADS operational mode. Indications are listed below.
INITIALIZING
Appears momentarily during power up indicating that IPADS software is initializing.
CPNU INIT
Once IPADS software is initialized, CPNU INIT is displayed indicating CDU
communications ports are initialized and CDU is attempting to establish
communications with CPNU.
ALIGNING NNN
CPNU is aligning. NNN is a countdown, in seconds, to completion.
POS UPD REQ
CPNU failed hot start and position update is required.
ZUPT IN PROC
The vehicle is stopped and IPADS is performing ZUPTs.
NAVIGATION
The vehicle is moving.
P1 - > P2
IPADS is performing a two-position azimuth mark operation.
SYS SHUTDOWN
Appears momentarily during shutdown indicating IPADS is performing an orderly
software shutdown. Operator must wait for IT IS NOW SAFE TO SHUTDOWN before
turning off power.
SYS INACTIVE
Appears briefly after SYS SHUTDOWN. Indicates IPADS software was successfully
shutdown and Windows shutdown is in progress.
CPNU FAILURE
CPNU failure has occurred, see paragraph 4-6, Operator Troubleshooting.
CPNU SHUTDN
If power is recycled on the CDU (e.g. using the CDU power switch) while the CPNU
remained powered up following a normal shutdown (F9 on MENU), CPNU SHUTDN
is displayed. This indicates CPNU had received a proper shutdown command, but was
