CDU. The CDU is the primary operator interface with the IPADS. CDU controls, indicators, and
connectors are shown in Figure 3-2.
CAUTION
Permanent damage to the IPADS CDU Active Matrix Liquid Crystal
Display (AMLCD) screen may result from exposure to temperatures below
-40 F.
Permanent damage to the IPADS CDU hard disk drive (HDD) may result
from operation at temperatures below 22 F.
NOTE
If possible, the IPADS CDU should be positioned so direct sunlight does not
shine on the screen. Direct sunlight on the CDU makes it difficult to read the
display.
