CDU Mount Installation.
(1) Using 10-mm socket and crescent wrench, install lower plate (1) onto the firewall and reinstall SUSV
brace onto the lower plate (1) using original bolts (10), washers (11), and locknuts (12), figure 2-49.
Use the original brace holes, figure 2-50. Hand-tighten only to allow for adjustment.
(2) Install dash panel handle on top of CDU panel assembly (2) in the location the dash panel handle (15)
was previously installed, figures 2-49 and 2-50, using original bolts (13) and washers (14). Hand-
tighten.
(3) Remove bolts (8) and washers (6) attaching clamp (5) to CDU panel assembly.
(4) Fit clamp (5) around tube at the top and attach to CDU panel assembly (2) using original bolts (8) and
washers (6) previously removed, figures 2-49 and 2-50. Hand-tighten only to allow for adjustment.
(5) Check that all hardware is in place without stress. Adjust brackets to ensure shaft is upright, level, and
straight from viewing position.
(6) Tighten bolts securing SUSV brace using a 10-mm wrench and socket until snug plus 1/4 turn,
(7) Tighten 3/8-inch screws (7) using a 9/16-inch wrench and socket until snug plus 1/4 turn, figure 2-49.
(8) Tighten bolts securing dash panel handle using a 13-mm wrench and socket until snug plus 1/4 turn,
