IPADS Preparation.
WARNING
IPADS weighs approximately 135 lbs (61.4 kg); use three persons to lift onto
floor plate.
CAUTION
Ensure that all T-handle bolts are only HAND-TIGHTENED and alignment
pins are loose.
DO NOT lift the IPADS unit using the porro prism cover. Lift IPADS by
its frame.
(1) Obtain the IPADS unit along with the following items from the HMMWV installation kit, figure 1-6:
(a) Alignment bracket assembly (1).
(b) T-handle bolts (2).
(c) Load distributing washers (3).
