Deleting source maps. Perform the following steps to delete source maps:
NOTE
The IPADS Map Library on the host PC is the default source for IPADS
maps. IPADS maps are placed there when they are created. Maps can also
be imported from removable media or drive (e.g. a CD or USB Flash Drive)
containing an IPADS Map Library.
External drives must be connected to the PC before launching IPADS Map
Manager. Otherwise, they won't be recognized.
Removable media must be inserted in the PC's drive before attempting to
access the drive. Otherwise, the map library won't be found.
The map source and destination cannot be the same. IPADS Map Manager
prevents selection of the same source and destination
Maps can't be deleted from a write protected or non-writable import drive.
(1) Use the Import Drive drop-down box and source radio buttons to select the source for maps to be
deleted, paragraphs 6-3d and 6-3e.
(2) Select the map name(s) in the source map list box to be deleted, paragraph 6-3f.
(3) Click on the Delete Source Map button. A Confirm File Delete request will pop up.
(4) Select the Yes button to complete deletion or No button to cancel the deletion. Deletion progress will
be displayed. The file name list will be refreshed when deletion is complete.

Deleting destination maps. The delete destination map function allows maintenance of the maps in IPADS
and the Emulator as well as on export drives. Perform the following steps to delete destination maps:
NOTE
IPADS must be connected to the host PC using IPADS Software
Downloader before launching IPADS Map Manager.
IPADS Emulator must be installed on the same drive as IPADS Map
Manager for it to be recognized.
External drives must be connected to the PC before launching IPADS Map
Manager. Otherwise, they won't be recognized.
Removable media must be inserted in the PC's drive before attempting to
access the drive.
CDs must be preformatted using Roxio CD Creator before accessing the CD
drive.
The map source and destination cannot be the same. IPADS Map Manager
prevents selection of the same source and destination. Map Library will be
enabled as a destination only when an import drive is selected as the source.
(1) Use the Export Drive drop-down box and destination radio buttons to select the source for maps to be
deleted, paragraphs 6-3d and 6-3e.
