3-17. Theodolite Position Update - Continued

Enter vertical angle from the theodolite to the porro prism within the range of 1511 to 1511 mils and press
ENTER. Cursor box moves to PNT NAME: field. Function key line shows F2-NEW, F3-SEL PT., and
F9-EXIT.
(1) Press F1 to update position and altitude, F2 to update position only, or F3 to update altitude only.
Cursor box moves to PNT NAME: field. Function key line shows F2-NEW, F3-SEL PT., and F9-
EXIT.
(2) Perform the following steps to select an existing point from POINT LIST. Press F3. POINT LIST
page is displayed with function key line F2-NEW, F3-SEL PT., F4-FILTER, F5-DEL ALL, and
F9-EXIT.
CAUTION
If F5 (DEL ALL) is pressed, IPADS prompts PRESS Y TO DELETE
DISPLAYED POINTS, OTHER KEY TO CANCEL Pressing Y permanently
deletes all points in displayed list.
(3) Point filter sets the type of points shown on POINT LIST page. Point filter type is displayed in fourth
field of mode line and on POINT LIST page. Set point filter type by pressing F4 until desired point
filter type is displayed.
(4) PRESS Y TO UPDATE POSITION will be displayed if no points to adjust exist. Press Y. Update is
completed and INFO: POSITION UPDATE COMPLETED is displayed.
(5) If points to adjust exist and errors are within tolerance for adjustment, HPOS ERR = x.x M; VPOS
ERR = x.x M; PRESS Y TO UPDATE/ADJUST POINTS is displayed. If errors are within tolerance,
press Y. Update is completed and INFO: POSITION UPDATE COMPLETED is displayed.
