UNIT MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
SECTION I. UNIT TROUBLESHOOTING
5-1. General. When an IPADS LRU fails, Unit maintenance personnel are required to troubleshoot the associated
cable to determine if it is serviceable. If so, the cable is returned to the operator and the LRU is turned in for
repair.

Wiring harness W114 appears to be unserviceable.
Step 1. Perform continuity check of wiring harness W114, figure 5-1.
a. If serviceable, return to operator.
b. If unserviceable, turn in for repair, paragraph 4-7.
2.
Power cable W116-1 or W116-3 appears to be unserviceable.
Step 1. Perform continuity check of wiring harness W116, figure 5-2.
a. If serviceable, return to operator.
b. If unserviceable, turn in for repair, paragraph 4-7.
3.
UH-60 power cable W116-2 appears to be unserviceable.
Step 1. Perform continuity check of power cable W116-2, figure 5-3.
a. If serviceable, return to operator.
b. If unserviceable, turn in for repair, paragraph 4-7.
4.
AC power cable appears to be unserviceable.
Step 1. Perform continuity check of AC power cable, figure 5-4.
a. If serviceable, return to operator.
b. If unserviceable, turn in for repair, paragraph 4-7.
5.
FOS cable appears to be unserviceable.
Step 1. Perform continuity check of FOS cable, figure 5-5.
a. If serviceable, return to operator.
b. If unserviceable, turn in for repair, paragraph 4-7.
