4. Run the cable forward to the bar above the crew chief
seat
5. Run the cable to the AC/DC power connectors on the
ceiling near the crew chiefs seat and connect
W116-1(P1) to J258(Utility Receptacle-28VDC).
The W116-1 cable should be taut. Use additional wire
ties to remove any sagging wire.
(15) Installation is complete.
(16) Verify vehicle type is set to UH-60, paragraph 3-11b
(17) Stow plumb bob arm.
(18) Secure helicopter doors.
(19) Load ground vehicle with survey and personal gear that will not be used during the helicopter mission.
(20) Install protective cap on ground vehicle power cable P1.
3-34. Transfer From UH-60 Helicopter to Ground Vehicle.
IPADS may be transferred to a land vehicle from a UH-60 helicopter while operating. The procedure for
transfer with the helicopter rotor stopped is given below.
WARNING
IPADS crew must wear hearing protection at all times when working
around aircraft.
Use extreme care when working under helicopter blades.
To prevent injury, use at least four persons to transfer IPADS.
