NOTE

Belt assemblies must be wrapped around the IPADS frame as shown in

figure 2-30 to prevent the unit from sliding out during helicopter maneuvers.

(7) Using belt assemblies, tie down IPADS by attaching belt assemblies to aircraft floor cargo rings as

illustrated in figure 2-29. Large end of cargo strap must face rear of aircraft. Each belt must be

wrapped around the IPADS frame as shown in figure 2-30.

(8) Tighten belt assemblies using ratchet handles to insure IPADS frame cannot move after tightening

cargo straps. Do not over tighten and bend IPADS frame.

(9) Roll excess cargo strap and secure with cable tie or tape.
