With cutting buttons released, pins 1 and 2 should show continuity and
pins 3 and 4 should show open.
With cutting buttons depressed, pins 1 and 2 should show open; pins 3
and 4 should show continuity.
(a) If continuity checks are incorrect, replace defective cutting
button(s) (paragraph 5-16.16).
(b) If continuity is correct, refer to direct/general support
maintenance.
