event of a conflict between the following documents and the contents of this specification, this specification
supercedes the following documents.

SECTION III. REQUIREMENTS
H-5. Computer Requirements. IPADS Map Manager operates as specified when installed on a host personal
computer (PC) meeting the following requirements:
a.
Operating System: Windows 2000TM or Windows XPTM.
b.
Hard Drive: Any read/write hard drive with at least 2GB free space.
c.
CD-ROM Drive: Any operating CD-ROM drive.
d.
CD-RW Drive: Any operating CD-RW drive with the assistance of Roxio CD CreatorTM or equivalent.
(1) Threshold: Enables IPADS Map Manager to copy IPADS map files to a preformatted CD
(2) Objective: Enables IPADS Map Manager to copy IPADS map files to an unformatted CD

Ethernet port: 100/10 Base-T Ethernet port meeting the requirements of IEEE 802.3-2002
(Enables IPADS Map Manager to copy files to an IPADS CDU, moving files between IPADS CDU
folders, and deleting files from IPADS CDU.)
H-6. Installation: Any self-installation package that installs all software components needed for IPADS Map
Manager to operate.

Location:
(1) Threshold: Installs on any read/write hard drive with sufficient free space.
(2) Objective: Installs in any folder on any read/write hard drive with sufficient free space with the default
folder C:\Program Files\Map Manager\.
b. Start Icons: IPADS Map Manager puts a startup icon on the WindowsTM Desktop and in the WindowsTM
Start/Programs Menu.
c.
Removal: Removes using WindowsTM Control Panel (Add or Remove Programs)
H-7. Startup. IPADS Map Manager launches when the operator "double clicks" on the desktop start icon; selects
it from the Start/Programs menu; selects "Open" from the right-click pop-up menu for either icon; or runs via
the Start\Run window.

Component Checking: IPADS Map Manager verifies all required components are available and
gracefully adjusts functionality if a component is not available.
b.
Map Library: IPADS Map Manager selects the IPADS Map Library folder for map files. If the IPADS
Map Library folder does not exist IPADS Map Manager will create it.
c.
IPADS. IPADS Map Manager determines if IPADS is connected to the host PC. If IPADS is not
connected, IPADS Map Manager will not enable IPADS as a destination. If IPADS is connected, IPADS
Map Manager will:
