OPERATOR/CREW MAINTENANCE INSTRUCTIONS
SECTION I. TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT
4-1. General. Tools required for most operator/crew maintenance are contained in a kit located in the storage box
on the IPADS frame and are listed in the Basic Issue Items List, Appendix B, Section III.
a. Paint IPADS with CARC paint (app F, item 4) and a small brush (app F, item 5) for touchup painting only.
b. Assistance in troubleshooting battery problems may be obtained from Unit Maintenance personnel.
SECTION II. LUBRICATING INSTRUCTIONS
4-2. General. There is no lubrication required for IPADS.
SECTION III. INSPECTION
4-3. General. The operator must perform the following inspection prior to survey operations. These steps will
ensure the IPADS is operational and capable to perform survey operations.
