COMPONENTS OF END ITEM (COEI) AND BASIC ISSUE ITEMS (BII) LIST
SECTION I. INTRODUCTION
B-1. Scope.
This appendix lists components of the end item and basic issue items for the IPADS to help you inventory the
items for safe and efficient operation of the equipment.
B-2. General.
The components of end item (COEI) and basic issue items (BII) lists are divided into the following sections.
a. Section II, Components of End Item.
This listing is for information purposes only and is not authority to requisition replacements. These items
are part of the IPADS but they are to be removed and separately packaged for transportation or shipment.
As part of the end item, these items must be with the end item whenever it is issued or transferred between
property accounts. Illustrations are furnished to help you find and identify the items.
b. Section III, Basic Issue Items.
These essential items are required to place the IPADS in operation, operate it, and do emergency repairs.
Although shipped separately packaged, BII must be with the IPADS during operation and when transferred
between property accounts. Listing these items is your authority to requisition them for replacement based
on authorization of the end item by the TOE/MTOE (Table of Organization and Equipment/Modified Table
of Organization and Equipment). Illustrations are furnished to help you find and identify the items.
B-3. Explanation of columns
a.
Column 1. Illustration Item Number.
Indicates the callout number used to reference the item in the illustration.
b. Column 2. National Stock Number (NSN).
Indicates the NSN assigned to the item that will be used for requisitioning.
c.
Column 3. Description.
Part Number, Description, and Usable On Code identify the federal item name followed by a minimum
description when needed. The last line below the description is the CAGEC (Commercial and
Government Entity Code) (in parentheses) and the part number.
d. Column 4. Unit of Issue (U/I).
This column indicates how the item is issued for the national stock number shown in column 2.

Column 5. Quantity Required (Qty Req'd).
This column lists the quantity of each item required for a complete major item.
