MESSAGES will show MARK WAIT x.x SECONDS. Function key line shows F9-CANCEL.

At mark completion, MARK page shows data for the marked point and ENTER DISTANCE TO PRISM
(1 TO 3500 METERS) OR F2-USE ALL. Cursor box is on DISTANCE TO PRISM field. Function key
line shows F2-USE ALL, and F9-EXIT.

Enter measured offset distance (in meters) and press ENTER. Cursor box moves to HORIZ ANGLE TO
EOL field.
k.
Enter measured mean horizontal angle and press ENTER. Cursor box moves to VERT ANGLE TO
PRISM field.
l.
Enter measured vertical angle and press F2. MARK page shows data for the marked point with cursor box
on HORZ ANGLE TO EOL field and INFO: AZ 1 MARKED; ENTER AZ 2 ANGLE OR MOVE TO
PNT NAME TO EDIT. Function key line shows F2- USE ALL and F9-EXIT.
m. If not establishing a second OL, scroll to PNT NAME field.
n.
To establish a second OL, press FNC DEL to clear HORZ ANGLE TO EOL field, enter second mean
horizontal angle, and press F2. MARK page displays data for second OL and INFO: MARK COMPLETE;
PRESS ENTER TO EDIT POINT & MARK NAMES. Cursor box moves to PNT NAME field. Function
key line shows F9-EXIT.

Press ENTER to change point name. POINT EDITOR page is displayed with data for the mark. Cursor
box is on PNT NAME Field. Function key line shows F2-USE ALL and F9-EXIT.
CAUTION
AFATDS truncates SCP names to eight characters. If SCP data will be sent to
AFATDS, keep SCP names to eight or fewer characters. See CAUTION in
p.
Press FNC DEL to clear PNT NAME field, enter new name and press ENTER. Cursor box moves to
MARK 1 IDENTIFIER.
q.
Press FNC DEL to clear MARK 1 IDENTIFER, enter new identifier and press ENTER. Cursor box
moves to DESCRIPTION field or MARK 2 IDENTIFER if two OLs were established.
r.
Press FNC DEL to clear MARK 2 IDENTIFER, enter new identifier, and press ENTER. Cursor box
moves to DESCRIPTION field.
s.
If desired, enter a point description up to 34 characters long.
t.
Press F2 to accept the name and description changes. MARK page is displayed with new name and
identifier. Record data.
u.
Drive witness stake(s) and stow theodolite and other equipment in vehicle.
v.
Press F9 to return to MENU, MAP, or NAVIGATION AID page.
w. Proceed to next point.
