masked out of view of PMT, spot will slow down, possibly burning CRT phos-

The printer is focused in two ways:

(10) Look up at print stage from about lens level, and screw lens in or out
until projected image on print stage becomes focused.
(11) Screw lens in or out until projected image goes slightly out of focus.
