SUPPORT EQUIPMENT.
6-12.1. Common Tools and Equipment. For authorized common tools and equipment, refer to the Modified Table of
Organization and Equipment (MTOE) applicable to your unit.
6-12.2. Special Tools; Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment; and Support Equipment. Special Tools,
TMDE, and Support Equipment is listed in the applicable repair parts and special tools list and in Appendix B of this
manual.
6-12.3. Repair Parts. Repair parts are listed and illustrated in the Repair Parts and Special Tools List, TM 5-3610-257-
24P covering organizational maintenance for this equipment.

SERVICE UPON RECEIPT.
6-13.1. Checking Unpacked Equipment.
a.
Inspect the equipment for damage incurred during shipment. If equipment has been damaged, report the damage
on DD Form 6, Packing Improvement Report.
b.
Check the equipment against the packing list to see if the shipment is complete. Report all discrepancies in
accordance with the instructions of DA Pam 738-750.
c.
Check to see whether the equipment has been modified.

ORGANIZATIONAL PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE CHECKS AND SERVICES.
a.
PMCS are designed to keep the equipment in good working condition by performing certain tests, inspections, and
services. The intervals provide you, the organizational technician, with time schedules that determine when to perform
specified tasks.
b.
Item number column. Item numbers are assigned in chronological ascending sequence regardless of interval
designation. These numbers are used for your "TM Number" column on DA Form 2404, Equipment Inspection and
Maintenance Worksheet, in recording the results of PMCS.
c.
Interval columns. This column determines the time period designated to perform your PMCS.
d.
Item to be inspected and procedures column. This column lists functional groups and their respective assemblies
and subassemblies as shown in the Maintenance Allocation Chart (Appendix B). The appropriate check or service
procedure follows the specific item to be inspected.
