Symbol mode command,
SM, sets symbol mode for use with pit,
iplt, XAX, and Y A X statements. These statements function
as described in this table except that specified character is
drawn centered on each plotted point or tic mark. Character

character is not specified, symbol mode is cancelled. All
ASCII characters from decimal 35 thru 122 can be specified
