Step 1. Check that trip dog is correctly positioned to activate switch HE2.

If trip dog is adjusted correctly, proceed to step 2.
(b)
Adjust trip dog (paragraph 2-16.3).
Step 2. Check continuity of switch HE2.
(a)
If continuity is present, proceed to step 3.
(b)
If not present, adjust switch HE2 (paragraph 2-16.11).
Step 3. Check switch VE1 for continuity.
(a)
If present, proceed to step 4.
(b)
If not present, replace switch VE1 (paragraph 2-16.11).
