3. Take up slack in hoist cable (3).
WARNING
HEAVY EQUIPMENT. Stay clear as floor areas are raised
or lowered. Weight of floors may cause serious personal
injury.
4. Using handwinch (5), raise folding floor to about 3 inches
(7.6 cm) from wall. Push floor to wall and lock into place with wall
locks (6).
Repeat steps 1 through 4 for opposite folding floor.

6. Unscrew each expanding side's power supply cable (7) from
receptacle.
NOTE
Install removable floor sections on curbside folding
floor from ground level.
7. Take up both removable floor sections (8) and store on curbside
folding floor (2).
CAUTION
Two people are required to observe side retraction.
Inside observer should watch that expanding side
clears all parts of Section ceiling and Printing
Press. Outside observer should watch that top,
bottom, and both sides of expanding side retract
evenly. If sides are not retracted evenly, they will
contact Section body and become jammed.
Do not force handcrank. Damage to gears and
expanding side seals may result.
NOTE
The same handcrank is used to operate both roadside and
curbside drive mechanisms.
8. Insert handcrank into drive mechanism and retract side of
Section, turning crank to left. Check periodically that side retracts
evenly without contacting sides and ceiling of Section body. Side is fully
retracted when rubber seal and metal plate are tightly sealed.
