Prepare for Transport
1. Using folding ladder , unroll air conditioner/heater covers and
secure with snaps. Secure folding ladder.
2. Remove drain hose from water outlet on Section body and store
hose in semitrailer chassis tool box (3).
3.
Install cap on water outlet pipe.
4.
Lock rear personnel door (7).
5.
Remove handrail (8) from rear personnel door boarding ladder (9).
6. Remove rear personnel door boarding ladder (9) and insert
handrail (8) into back of boarding ladder.
7. Secure rear personnel door boarding ladder (9) to rear personnel
door (7).
Raise landing jacks high
8. Retract leveling jacks completely.
enough for tractor clearance.
9. Connect semitrailer chassis to tractor as indicated in TM 5-2330-
305-14. Retract landing jacks. Remove chocks and store in semitrailer
chassis tool box (3). Close and lock semitrailer chassis tool box (3).
10.
Inspect Section exterior to be sure all equipment and covers are
secure.
