Section III. OPERATION UNDER USUAL CONDITIONS

2-5. The TSS Press Section is operational when the Section is on site with

the tractor disconnected and expanding sides expanded. Refer to TM 5-2330-

305-14 for detailed instruction of semitrailer chassis disconnection from

tractor.

ASSEMBLY AND PREPARATION FOR USE

Level and Stabilize Section

CAUTION

Semitrailer-mounted Section must be on approximately level

surface to avoid unnecessary stress or twisting of semitrailer

chassis when Section is leveled.

NOTE

Snow or ice should be removed from under leveling footplate

before attempting to level Section.

Sand, soft ground, or mud requires that shoring or scrap

material be placed under leveling footplate to increase

surface area and prevent footplates from sinking into

surface.
