Turn on power.
j.
(1) Turn main power switch to I position.
(2) Turn Star-Delta switch to Y position. After the main motor has
reached full speed, turn switch to
position.
(3) Press control power on switch.
Move backgauge forward or backward as required until the backgauge
k.
position is displayed on the measurement display.
With light barrier not interrupted, check for +5.1 V at 17c. Use
l.
ground post on SCU as ground. If +5.1 V is not present, replace
cable.
Check plug connector 600 pin 1 in left barrier housing for +24 V.
m.
Use pin 2 of connector as ground. If +24 V is present, proceed to
step o.
If missing, check +24 V output of PS 24 (paragraph 5-40.63). Check
n.
plug connectors and cable.
Check pin 29c for +5.1 V on circuit board IAR. Use ground post on
o.
SCU as ground. If not present, replace circuit boards IAR, HK and LS in
that order until problem is corrected (paragraphs 5-40.28, 5-40.31 and
5-40.52).
Turn off power.

(1) Turn Star-Delta switch to Y position, then to O position.
(2) Turn main power switch to O position.
Reinstall circuit board IAR.
q.
Reinstall front and rear electronics enclosure covers.
