(2) Unit within CONUS. The failed LRU will be sent to the contractor. The contractor has 72 hours
from the time of receipt to repair or replace the LRU and ship the repaired or replacement LRU back
to the user.
NOTE
When items returned to the contractor for repair are found to be serviceable, the
submitting unit may be billed for the cost of testing and shipping.

Assistance. If you need assistance with the warranty process, contact your local TACOM Logistics Assistance
Representative (LAR) (Go to http://aeps.army.mil, and click on `AMC LAO Offices'), or the TACOM Target
Acquisition Team.

Claim denial or dispute. If a warranty claim is denied or disputed, the contractor will contact the TACOM
Target Acquisition Team and inform it that the item will not be covered under warranty and will provide an
estimated repair cost.
J-7. STORAGE/SHIPPING/HANDLING. The following listing identifies the shipping containers for each LRU
covered under this Warranty Technical Bulletin. Use the reusable shipping containers for the IPADS end item and
LRUs as described in TM 9-6675-349-12&P. The contractor will provide a prepaid shipping label for return
shipments.
