(e) If desired datum is not listed, press FNC Pg Dn to display next page or scroll to bottom of list and
continue scrolling. Some ellipsoids have several pages of associated datums.
(f) Scroll to desired datum and press ENTER. ELLIPSOID & DATUM page is displayed with new
selections. Function key legends show F2-USE ALL, and F9-CANCEL.
(g) If ellipsoid and datum selections are incorrect, press F9 to cancel and retain current settings or
repeat procedure with step 3-11d(2).
(h) If selections are correct, press F2. INFO: SYSTEM ELLIPSOID AND DATUM HAVE BEEN
SET is displayed with function key legend F9-EXIT.
(i) Press F9 to exit ELLIPSOID & DATUM page.
(3) Select datum.
Perform the following steps to set a predefined datum or previously entered user defined datum, when
ellipsoid has not changed:
NOTE
If the selected ellipsoid is user defined, ellipsoid parameters and function key
legends F3-FLAT, F4-MINOR also will be displayed.
If the selected datum is user defined, datum shifts also will be displayed.
(a) Scroll to ELLIPSOID/DATUM on MENU and press ENTER. ELLIPSOID & DATUM page is
displayed showing current ellipsoid and datum. Cursor box is on ELLIP field. Function key line
shows F9-EXIT.
(b) Scroll to DATUM field and press ENTER. DATUM page is displayed with a list of datums
associated with the ellipsoid. Function key line shows F9-CANCEL.
(c) If desired datum is not listed, press FNC Pg Dn to display next page or scroll to bottom of list and
continue scrolling. Some ellipsoids have several pages of associated datums.
(d) Scroll to desired datum and press ENTER. ELLIPSOID & DATUM page is displayed with new
selection. Function key line shows F2-USE ALL, and F9-CANCEL.
(e) If datum selection is incorrect, press F9 to cancel and retain current settings or repeat procedure
with step (a).
(f) If selections are correct, press F2. INFO: SYSTEM ELLIPSOID AND DATUM HAVE BEEN
SET is displayed with function key legend F9-EXIT.
(g) Press F9 to exit ELLIPSOID & DATUM page.
