AIMING
CIRCLE
M E A S U R I N G VERTICAL ANGLES
1
Make sure aiming circle is level.
2 Using either azimuth or orienting knob, place recticle
vertical centerline on center of the target as shown at
right.
3 Turn elevation knob until reticle horizontal centerline
is on target as shown at left.
4 Read elevation from elevation scale and elevation
micrometer scale.
