OPERATION IN UNUSUAL WEATHER.
a.
Operation in High Wind or Storm Conditions.
(1)
Secure all loose objects in the area.
(2)
Secure shelter body by connecting ropes to lift rings, pulling ropes tight, and connecting ropes to
buried deadman.
(3)
Tighten all boot connections to shelter and tent and add additional tiedowns as required.
(4)
Follow special instructions in technical manuals for HMMWV, Utility Trailer, and SICPS.
b.
Operation in Cold Weather.
CAUTION
When transporting the DDSS, or when heaters are not operating, and
temperature is below 32°F (0°C), protect liquid supplies from freezing.
Failure to do so may result in container breakage and damage to
equipment.
