a . When operated to ON, the ON/OFF/INCREASE control applies voltage from the
p o w e r source through plug P1 and cable W1 to the dimmer circuit board to operate the
s y s t e m w h e n e v e r t h e l e a f i s p u l l e d o u t f r o m t h e s t o w e d p o s i t i o n . W h e n the leaf is
in the stowed position, switch S2 opens, breaking the circuit. The INCREASE control
i s a p o t e n t i o m e t e r t h a t a d j u s t s h e light level of the grid lamp from a maximum of
2 0 0 0 ft lamberts (6852 candela/m) to a minimum of approximately 5% of maximum.
T h e INCREASE potentiometer is an integral part of switch S1, and is connected across
two of the terminals of the dimmer circuit board.
