PLOTTER ROM ERRORS
P1
ATTEMPT TO STORE INTO CONSTANT
Occurs when one or more parameters in dig instruction are
constants rather than variables.
P2
WRONG NUMBER OF PARAMETERS
Occurs on instructions with numeric only parameter lists
(scl, ofs, plt, iplt, cplt, xax, yax, lim, dig, csiz, line,
pen #, and p s c ) .
In certain unusual cases where parameter list contains user
level function calls, instruction having incorrect number of
p a r a m e t e r s may be executed.
For example, scl funct is executed as scl Function
call
funct is ignored.
P3
WRONG TYPE OF PARAMETER OR ILLEGAL PARAMETER VALUE
Examples:
lbl A *
psc 31
P4
NO HP-IB DEVICE NUMBER SPECIFIED
Occurs on psc instruction when parameter is between 0 and 14,
inclusive, and HP-IB card is at corresponding select code.
PEN CONTROL VALUE NOT IN -32768 THRU +32767 RANGE
P5
M a y also occur if hardware transmis-

sion error occurs between plotter and computer.
NO HP-IB CARD AT SPECIFIED SELECT CODE
P6
O c c u r s o n p s c instruction when HP-IB card set to specified
select code is not HP-IB card.
P7
axe, ltr INSTRUCTIONS EXECUTED
O c c u r s on axe and ltr instructions because ROM recognizes
these instructions but cannot execute them. This error flags
