(2) Position J9 holds the character generator board. This board generates the
video signals for display on the monitor. These symbols, when displayed, will be
representative of the characters and symbols received as input from the keyboard.
(3) In addition to the video signals, the board generates horizontal and
vertical sync signals for the monitor drive circuits.
