(4) The main program and carriage escapement board J12 determines the position
of the carriage assembly by feeding information on the required number of motor
steps to the driver board, where pairs of Darlington driver circuits, associated
with each of the five motor coils, enable current to flow in either direction in
each coil.
(5) The collector lens is mounted in a three-point suspension system which is
part of the main carriage chassis. The image from the collector lens is turned
through 90 degrees by a mirror where it falls onto the film plane.
