For some job specifications, both emulsions will face the same direction.

Place the flat on top of the film being contacted. The emulsion of the flat should face the emulsion of the contact
or duplicating film. Be sure materials are correctly alined.

Lower glass frame and lock the left- and right-hand latches into place.
(9)
Turn on vacuum pump and check that bleed valve is closed.
