PROCEDURE
INSPECT SPARE TIRE.
1.
Check spare tire to insure it is secure within
the carrier.
2.
Inspect the carrier bracketing for proper
mounting.
INSPECT MUD FLAPS.
Inspect mud flaps for proper attachment, breaks
and cracks.
INSPECT TRACKING.
With the vehicle moving straight ahead, observe if
there is any tendency for the trailer to wander or
pull to the side.
Such conditions are the result
of axle misalignment or improperly adjusted wheel
bearings or brakes.
INSPECT BRAKES.
Before moving apply brakes. Observe that they
operate properly.
INSPECT PHYSICAL CONDITION.
1. Wash and clean trailer if required.
2. Observe condition of paint and legibility of
markings and plates.
INSPECT AIR TANKS.
Drain air after each operation.
