TECHNICAL PRINCIPLES OF OPERATION.
The charging voltage and current range from the secondary side of the transformer is selected by the CHARGING RATE
switch. During the charging cycle, the amperage will vary in accordance with the battery state-of-charge; as the specific
gravity of the battery increases, the amperage will decrease. The TIMER controls the length of charging time and will
automatically turn the charger off. If the TIMER is placed in the hold position, the CHARGING RATE switch must be
turned to OFF at the end of the charging cycle to avoid overcharging. The output of the transformer secondary is
rectified by two diodes for the dc output. A circuit breaker in the output line provides overload protection.
