4. Loosen, but do not remove, screw of drum shaft
securing pl ate.
5. Slide plate to the right, free of groove in
shaft.
6. Pull drum shaft free from copier.
7. Slide platen to the right.
8. Grasp handle and raise upper assembly to full
open position.
WARNING
Drum may be hot and can cause personal
injury.
CAUTION
Use cloth or paper while removing drum to
prevent damage to drum.
NOTE
q Store removed drum in a place away from
direct sunlight, dust, ammonia, or anything
that might scratch the surface.
q If drum surface is scratched, the drum
q When drum replacement is required, the
corona wire should be set to the specifications
as indicated on the panel inside the front door.
