Tag and desolder wires from defective dimmer switch.
g.
h. Remove defective dimmer switch.
Install new dimmer switch and secure with bezel nut.
i.
Solder wires to new switch.
j.
k. Reinstall knob and tighten screw.
Reinstall cover and secure with six screws.
l.
Plug in power cord.
