Connect negative lead of multimeter to electrical hook-up wire.

k. Set multimeter controls to indicate -9 V.
Open boxcontaining font pick-up test disc.
l.
Grasp knurled knob and remove from box.

n.
Hold disc by plastic handle and place left edge of disc into slot.
Tighten knurled knob.
o.
If properly inserted, it will turn easily.
Spin disc slowly.
