Preparing Trailer for Movement.
(1)
Close trailer tailgate (refer to TM 9-2330-202-14).
(2)
Close trailer frame and insert pins in stay bars.
(3)
Install stay bar on trailer frame.
(4)
Install tarpaulin supports and cover trailer with tarpaulin (refer to TM 9-2330-202-14).
WARNING
Tongue weight of the trailer is in excess of 80 pounds
and hitch is in an awkward position. Two soldiers are
required to lift the hitch when connecting the trailer.
Exercise care when connecting. Failure to do so may
result in personal injury or damage to equipment.
(5)
Connect HMMWV and trailer (refer to TM 9-2330-202-14).
(6)
Disengage trailer parking brakes (refer to TM 9-2330-202-14).
