E-2.1 Column (1) - Item Number.
This number is assigned to the entry in

m a t e r i a l ( e . g . , “Use cleaning compound, item 5, appendix E’).

This column identifies the lowest level of
maintenance that requires the listed item.

followed by the part number.
E-2.5 Column (5) - Unit of Measure (U/M).
Indicates the measure used in
performing the actual maintenance function.
This measure is expressed by
a t w o - c h a r a c t e r a l p h a b e t i c a l a b b r e v i a t i o n ( e . g . , e a , i n . , p r ) .
I f t he
unit of measure differs from the unit of Issue, requisition the lowest
u n i t o f i s s u e t h a t w i l l s a t i s f y y o u r r e q u i r e m e n t s.
