HIGH VOLTAGE
Shut off power source before attempting to disconnect, service, or con-
nect wires or cables. Failure to do so may result in death or serious injury.
When working on high-voltage components, always have an additional
person present, and-keep one hand-away from equipment to reduce hazard
of current flowing through vital organs of body. Remove all jewelry from
fingers, wrists, and neck prior to working on electrical components.
Failure to do so may result in death or serious burns.
Step 1.
Turn external power source to press ON and printing press main power switch
to ON.
Step 2.
Turn on sheet counter.
NOTE
To close limit switch (b141), position blanket cylinder gap so it faces delivery
gripper cover.
Step 3.
Step 4.
Using a multimeter set to range higher than 24V dc - 50V dc, check for 24V dc
between contactor (d14) point 14 and line 707 on terminal strip.
if power is present, go to step 6.
if no power is present, go to step 4.
Using a multimeter set to range higher than 28V ac, check for 28V ac at input side
to rectifier.
if no power is present, go to step 5.
if power is present, go to step 6.
